Hynix chip manufacturer originated from the Korean brand English abbreviation "HY" Hynix is the original modern memory. In 2001 it was renamed Hynix. Representative director: Quan Wuzhe. Hynix Semiconductor was established in 1983 as Hyundai Electronics Industry Co., Ltd., and was officially listed in South Korea in 1996. It acquired LG Semiconductor in 1999, and changed its company name to Hynix Semiconductor Co., Ltd. in 2001 to separate it from Hyundai Group. In October 2004, the system IC business was sold to Citigroup, becoming a professional memory manufacturer. Hynix Semiconductor is the world's second-largest DRAM maker and the ninth largest semiconductor company in the world. There are currently 4 8-inch wafer production lines and a 12-inch production line in South Korea, and an 8-inch production line in Oregon, USA. In 2004 and 2005, the global DRAM market share ranked second, and China's market share ranked first. Currently there are sales corporations and offices around the world, with a total of 21,000 employees (including overseas employees).
